How do you add non steam games back to your library?

Why doesn't it use steam cloud?

How do i use the normal steam interface? I hate big picture mode with a passion.

How did you install them? Lutris and Heroic can add them automatically. Otherwise right-click the entry and choose add to Steam. If the game made an entry to your application menu in desktop mode you can right click that as well to add it to Steam.

You have to restart Steam for that to take effect.

You can use that in desktop mode.

Thank you for the response.
I installed the games on my external hard drive. I did find the add to steam option. I'll keep playing with it.

My deck uses steam cloud just fine. What game are you experiencing steam cloud issues with?

I don't believe you can get rid of big picture mode but I could be wrong

I've only tried one game so far, balatro. All my achievements are there, but it's making me do the tutorial again.

Try restoring the cloud saves if they still exist and you didn't overwrite them with the tlnew tutorial save?

Additionally, can you not use SteamOS desktop instead? I don't actually own a steam deck so I'm unfamiliar with it overall.

I haven't been able to find the regular steam interface in desktop mode yet. I've never used Linux so it's admittedly throwing me off a little. Sometime else said it's available, i just have to keep looking around i guess.
Thank you

It should autostart. So there should be a Steam icon somewhere in the lower right corner. Or use the application menu (icon in lower left corner), Steam should be listed under Games.

What did you use before that those are not familiar to you?

Apparently there are two desktops. Anytime i open steam on the desktop it opens in the other desktop and I can't get to it.
