List of affected manga from Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/mangadex/comments/1kmzg9q/list_of_manga_affected_by_the_dmca_takedown_to/

Mangadex will release an official list soon (?).

Holy shit, this is actually a pretty bad list. A lot of classics and actually good modern manga here. Unfortunate - mangadex was great while it lasted. Pirate sites are hydra, if course, but mangadex was actually usable unlike a lit of other sites.

I'm at the point where I want to self host everything. Is there anything like Jellyfin for Manga?

[–] BlueRingedOctopus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 23 points 2 months ago

Yes there is. They're called Kavita and Komga. If you wanna host Doujins then there is Lanraragi, it has a better tagging system then both of them but struggles with chapter merging and all.

Kavita is the preferred one nowadays.

Thats a lot of good titles gone

At least there's Nyaa, and alternative sites to Mangadex for ongoing releases.

I recommend everyone hit up the Trove, get HakuNeko or a similar app and start making offline backups. Its not going to get easier from now on. KissManga and Mangafox still have suitable uploads for plenty of those series, but we don't know for how long.

Made a plea of my own on the other thread you can view.

It's time to cease empowering tyrants and their censorious ways. Free press and mirror today! I want you to mirror these media

If you're on Android, you really need to use Kotatsu. If one source is taken down, you have a couple hundred other options and it doesn't change the overall experience.

Someone saved them,, right? I hope..

Wonder how big the mangadex catalog is, 15TB?

Oh, I was wondering what happened, damn. I couldn't find a good chunk on any other site, updated as much, such as Dragon Next Door. I guess ill never be able to see one updated as much again
