When a cop does traffic radar, they don't need to put a sign out saying they are doing so, why do these cameras need one? The speed limit is the limit regardless of if a cop or camera is around. Just the speed limit sign alone is enough signage.

The statement said the amendments also seek to give the Ontario government authority to limit when ASE cameras and municipalities could generate and issue infractions for “minor speeding.” Proposed speeding thresholds weren’t provided.

Of course it's about limiting how municipalities manage car traffic...
