This will be a home for all things related to the cultivation of cannabis. The preferred focus here will be organic and sustainable growing methods, but any cannabis growers or growers-to-be are welcome!

The moderator and community creator here is in a legal cannabis state. It is therefore assumed that everyone sharing photos and info about their grows is also doing so legally. If you're not, then keep that to yourself. Any mention of actively conducting a cannabis grow illegally will be removed. This is to protect our instance admin, and will be a zero-tolerance policy.

Happy growing!

So long story short, I rescued these froma friend. They were planted too early, pruned poorly and the light cycle is messed up and they are flowering.

Is it safe to just top them and try to generate nodes? Pinch all the buds off and keep going?

I'm a bit of a novice so this is beyond my knowledge.

Kinda? Cannabis isn't a perennial, it's an annual plant. Once they flower, their life cycle is technically over.

But photos (not autos) can be revegged to save the exact genetics of the plant. That front right plant has a few good stems you can cut. But the other plants may need to go back into 18/6 light cycle for a while to see if you can get them to grow a few stems, then cut those stems and use them to grow a new plant.

Just look up revegging cannabis for endless guides on how to do it.

They are all photos. I'll try to reveg just as an experiment.

Perfect, it's a very fun project! If you already know you have a good plant and want to keep using it forever, you can keep it in veg and just pull stems off them to flower, a mother plant.

But sometimes you'll be growing from seed and just have absolutely insane genetics, keep half a dozen stems when you trim or lollipop, then dip them in a little bit of rooting gel or powder and slide them in a rapid rooter or something. You don't even need a ton of room or light, just keep them moist.

I have a friend who gives me clones every year and I just play. He gives me good hardy strains (white widow atm) so they forgive my ignorance a bit. These came from a family member who set the timer to 12/12 from the get go.

Thank you very much for the great answer. I have a very hard time learning from documents/text and i always have so many questions after most videos
