Are those attacks far behind mozcow feasible with drones, or is that simply misreporting? Even the fixed wings have a limited reach.

Yep. Ukraine has been hitting targets with smaller drones near Moscow, more or less, for about a year as far as I can remember.

Some of their early long range drones were basically small, slow flying airplanes, actually.

Not even "basically": They were literally small planes that were modified a bit to be remote controlled, and loaded up with explosives.
