I'm increasingly certain that the actual plan here is to destroy the federal government. I still go back and forth between "it's about fascism and authoritarian control" and "it's about dismantling the federal government and starting Fuedalism 2: it'll be better this time because we're the ones doing it", but lately I've been leaning more to the latter.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

The banality of stupidity.
*You consulted no one. You did no research. When peopled pleaded with you to stop, you forged ahead with reckless abandonment. When you plan started to fail, you doubled down. When it was time to clean up the mess you go lazy.

That's what the broligarchy paid for. Literally. The term is "RAGE" Retire All Government Employees.
Their goal is to absolutely wreck the economy so their vulture capitalist friends can swoop in and buy everything at a huge discount. Subjugating over half the population and removing "undesirables" is just a fun bonus for them. It's fascist feudalism.
What a strange goal. Do they really not expect to be eaten?
It's Russia 2.0, with Trump playing the Yeltzin role after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The goal is an autocratic oligarchy.
What gave it away? They've been very open about destroying government for years. In 2001, Grover Norquist said he wanted to "drown it in the bathtub".

Because the two groups are at odds with each other. You have Musk backed by Thiel and the like that want it all burned to the ground so they can build up techno feudalism states in its ashes. Then on the other side you have the Christian fascists who want to take the current system and fortify it with more authoritarianism and control.
The start of the path is similar, so they cooperate, but their end goals are very different.
