full size SUVs are almost as boring as full size Pickups yawn

Boring to drive, prone to rollover, a pain in the ass to park, completely impractical rear sidedoors compared to a minivan, terrible situational awareness because of purposefully limited sight lines and horrendous gas mileage/efficiency...

Seriously. I literally can't tell the difference between this, a Wagoneer, Expedition, Suburban...

If you need a bunch of interior space for people or cargo, get a station wagon or van. They are way safer and more practical.

Sadly the poor sight lines are largely a result of safety regulations, so it's not going away.

Take a look at an A pillar from 1993 vs 2003. They're much larger now for rollover protection, but also to distribute force around the passenger area in a frontal impact.

No, the regulations in this case are a way of papering over a fundamental design flaw in what priorities to focus on in deciding on the best shape for a vehicle.
