webtoons - vertical scroll webcomics

A place for discussion of all webcomics in the vertical scroll format, regardless of where they're hosted.

We are a primarily English speaking community.

  1. Remain on topic - all posts should be related to vertical scroll webcomics in some manner.

  2. No NSFW content - content containing pornography and extreme gore are disallowed. Blood/violence and sexually suggestive content commonly found in SFW stories are okay.

  3. No hateful content - content that seeks to promote hate or discrimination towards any specific marginalized group.

  4. Keep political discourse to a minimum - discussion of political themes in specific webcomics is allowed, but try not to get de-railed and venture into discussion of current real-world political happenings.

  5. Provide title or source - Always provide the titles of webtoons you're discussing in the title, post text, or a comment. Providing a link is appreciated but not required.

Hyeseong, a boy living on a remote island, and Yunhae, a mysterious mermaid, become each other's only friend. But soon after they meet, they're separated after Hyeseong moves away. Six years later, Yunhae develops a mysterious power and finds Hyeseong again. Unfortunately, too much has changed, and Hyeseong can no longer dedicate all his time to her as he did in their childhood. He tells her they are too different, but Yunhae's attachment to Hyeseong slowly transforms into an obsession.

Warning the story may contains depictions of self harm, murder, child abuse that may be upsetting to some readers
