It might also just be another order from Putin, since Russian disinformation doesn't depend on pushing a specific narrative, but making the truth almost impossible to know.

Yeah, I thought as much. I don't know how much it takes for some people to realise that Trump is a pathological liar, and his words are useless. His actions are all that matters to gauge his goals.
