With a recent international news story about the prospect of "standing only" airplane tickets going viral, todays video is an examination of that concept, and a look at just how hard the air travel industry has been attempting to implement it, for the past 19 years.

With low cost carriers on the rise, and an increasingly large number of people travelling overall, the patented design for "saddle" type standing airplane seats isn't just a rumor... its an impending reality.

Won’t happen unless the FAA itself gets dismantled. The list of common aviation events that would lead to significant injury precludes it in any sane scenario. Clear air turbulence alone makes it untenable.
