Question: does even !football@jogabonito.news exist? What is this ?
A domain name purchased by the admin of soccer.forum:
You really think you have no influence on that?
Just as an example: you are still the most prolific poster on the football community at lemm.ee. If I told you that I could go right now and set up a new football instance for it (because you opposed the soccer.forum name, so I got jogabonito.news), would you even consider posting there or would you do what you’ve done before (created the community on lemm.ee and ignored what was already there?)

When there was the first talk about moving away from LW and I first proposed soccer.forum, there was a whole lot of bikeshedding around the name of the community. So, last year I got a domain that could work for both the American and European crowds, and if there is interest about moving to a topic-specific instance while opposing the soccer.forum domain, I can quickly set up the new instance.

Pros:
-No mentions of soccer or football to confuses the Americans and the rest of the world
-It’s not “.news” - we’re a community not a news site
-It wouldn’t be on the .world monolith
-Make communities for your teams
Cons:

Ok, I just found jogabonito.community for $35/year. I can transfer it to you at cost if you want. Let's add to the list of choices.
I mean the .com is like $13/ year lol. I’d rather transfer to you. Doesn’t make sense to buy a more expensive domain
But I'd rather have the cleaner domain than the one with the cheat.
I do agree though that .news is not ideal. @UlrikHD@programming.dev, can you change the option for jogabonito.news to jogabonito.community ?
I don’t feel like it’s a cheat. I changed it from “Beautiful Game” to “The Beautiful Game”. Either way, though. You’re welcome to take my domain too. I have too many as it is
