It's not at all like Blowback, but I'm 2 parts into the 3 part miniseries of Carlos (2010) and I very much recommend checking it out. It's a fascinating watch in the context of all the stuff we're learning as leftists.

Safe for Democracy is good. Not identical in aesthetic by any means, but similar thoroughness and chronologically walking through a country in which there was imperial US "intervention".
