Hiya everyone.

So shortly about my situation. I’ve been enjoying my Bose cinemate 2.1 sound system for my TV for many years. But lately it’s been acting up, and after nearly a decade I’m looking to upgrade.

I collect old junk, repair old amps and what nots. Which made me appreciate the bigger sound systems, especially wanting to get into 5.1 surround. I’ve only ever experienced surround with those cheap Samsung packages, and it never really enticed me.

Well now I’ve tried a proper surround system and I’m hooked.

Mainly I’ll be watching movies and listening to music on this system.

Here’s the question part! So what I have right now is: Dali Zensor 5’s for my left and right. A Dali Zensor center speaker. And Dali zensor 1’s as my surround speakers. (I adore the Zensor series). Now I’ve had Sony stereo amps in the past, and greatly enjoyed them. I was looking at one of the Sony 5.1 system’s, when a friend strongly discouraged me, and instead pointed me to a DENON AVR-S670H.

(I have a LG tv with eArc)

I originally wanted the Sony as it has a “night mode” which will be priceless for late night viewing while my daughter sleeps.

I’d love recommendations and tips. I’m not in a rush, so the budget is flexible.
