I want to build a modest 5.1 system. I don't expect I will ever have more than 5.1 due to the room size and budget.

That being said I was wondering if I should purchase a 5.1 AVR or something better.

Are there features or functionality in a 7.2 receiver that you do not get in a 5.1 receiver? Better sound? Or would that just be a waste of money. Any recommendations? Thank you.
