You seems to imply that criticizing europe play into Putin playbook. At the moment, the EU sport is mocking how retrograde USA is. Realizing, EU is in the same shit, will probably make people more concerned about how bad it is at home and act accordingly. Instead of watching with popcorn in hand and rejoice at the awfulness of USA, it is sound to be reminded that EU is no paradise, and be more active in resisting the shit there. So If having European being more politically incline is putin's goal, so be it
