no because jerboa usually doesn't play gifs for some reason. I only get a stationary piglet

I assume you are on android? I believe voyager is available on android, and I can see the gif in it at least on iOS.
They are also testing piefed support, I’m on a test flight version for that now, so that’s pretty swanky.
