I initially knee-jerk disagreed, thinking it's gotta be all those rich bastards, but then I checked the numbers. The top 0.1% of the US had $22.19 trillion in wealth in Q1 2025. Zoom out to the top 1% and it was $27.2 trillion.
Yeah, it's the fucking 0.1%.
What if you zoomed to 0.01%?
The trend reverses?
Obviously, I just wanted to know how much is the difference between 0.1% and 0.01%
I was annoyed that no one was answering this because I was tacitly curious too. For what its worth, it was kinda difficult to find a current figure, but in 2021 it was 11% of the global wealth or $51.81 trillion. The top .1% only has about $56 trillion from what I can tell.
So even in that bracket, the ultra-super pro max wealthy own 90%+ of the top .1% of global wealth if my numbers are even remotely correct. That list would be the world's 810,000 most wealthy individuals.
Dang, nice research. I literally has no idea how to find those figures. As I expected, wealth is super concentrated at the top even amongst the 0.1%. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.
I've heard some actual numbers thrown about that are in the triple digits. Like if you cap the top 230 most wealthy people at a billion (or 10) US, we could build a shitton of lead free aquaducts or whatever your favorite 'metric of the commons' is.
My guess is that greed approaches infinity the more you zoom.

It is. Many are calling out the protesters for not being at work when they are protesting a bunch of celebrities partying all night long in the middle of the week...
My issue with this is that people work various hours. Not every single person in the world works 09:00-17:00(9-5). Some of their super heroes(cops) work 15:00-23:00 here in the United States. That leaves plenty of time in the morning and afternoon for a good ol fashioned protest.
I have no doubt that he’s quite upset about this…so has he tried not being a complete fucking arsehole yet?
It is physically impossible for him to be upset by this. Its what let him make billions. He's a narcissistic sociopath. Like most of them are.
