Honestly from what I learnt from the Commonwealth Games on the Goldy a couple years ago, just book a holiday somewhere else and skip town for the month.

Sure, it’s going to change Brisbane for the better. No more traffic, no more ugly buildings, 100% Olympics are going to be great! We don’t even have to pay for them!

I don't think it's going to be that bad. I hope Brisbane sees improvements to public transport and infrastructure like the Gold Coast did

People still talk about how great Sydney was for two weeks when public transport was free. Who would have thunk it.
