Elon Musk said verified accounts would be limited to reading 6,000 posts per day while unverified users will be limited to 600.

Isn't the information Elon is trying to protect have large amounts of useless, there are tons and tons of AI bots pretending to have engagement. So AI harvesters harvesting AI posts is kinda worthless.

You just made me picture The Matrix but instead of humans as the "batteries" its nothing but Agent Smith clones being policed by yet more Agent Smith clones.

Lol ! Look like it is actively pushing users to stop using Twitter. I wish there was something similar on Reddit. My health would have dramatically improved 😅

I finally broke down and sign up during the Russian civil war. Wanted to see which way the rebels were headed, and after 2 tweets it was like "log in to see more". Probably should of figured out how to use telegram instead.

If you just wanted to avoid the "log in to see more" I'd recommend nitter, it scrapes Twitter and skips all those annoying things.

But alas, for now at least Twitter broke nitter by requiring ppl to log in to even read tweets. Hopefully that'll be fixed?

Fucking telegram, man. I have no idea how to use that damn thing lmao

Funny to see how they started taking these decisions right now, that most contents are most likely already scrapped anyways lol Only thing I’m worried about is that Twitter is the biggest information source here in Japan, and people tend to be more conservative so very likely the majority won’t even consider protest.

And on the same day, the lord said "find some other shit" and to which, they obeyed

Everything this dude chooses to do is so bizarre

Who has time to read 6000 tweets???

It seems like it would be cheaper to just open the junk folder in whatever free email app you use and start reading 🤣

Elon Musk is not a clown, though, if that’s what you’re thinking! Sure, he’s the CTO of a company whose product is DDOSing itself, but that could happen to any supposed polymath.

Not verified, paid, quite a difference.

What was that thing he said about a public town hall? Doesn't look all that public to me.
