Plurality

80 readers
8 users here now

This is a community for those who identify as, or are questioning if they may be, plural. No matter what kind of, or the source of their plurality all are part of the plurality umbrella and are more than welcome here! We also encourage those who are curious about plurality and want to learn more about it, as well as those who are questioning.

What is plurality? - still being written

TLDR for community rules

  1. Follow lemmy.blahaj.zone general rules: no personal attacks, no insults, no doxing etc.
  2. All plural identities are valid; do not dispute the validity of anyone or anymany.
  3. Don’t pressure those who are questioning; let them decide whether they’re plural or not.
  4. We are not therapists or professionals; this community is not a substitute for professional help > (though we understand being careful with 'professionals' as they are often not kind to us plural folks).
  5. Be mindful of what you post here; put trigger warning in the post title for negative and/or triggering contents.
  6. All rules apply regardless of who or what is using an account; as with real life, each member of a plural group is responsible for the entire group.
  7. Do not insist any stop using a term they prefer to refer to themselves.

Does anyone celebrate birthdays (or any other type of anniversary) for members of their system? What do you all do to celebrate?

To answer your question, we can't because we cannot remember all but two of our's birth/creation date.

Also as we grow we are seeing less importance in celebrating such things.

For me as a tulpamancer, I've made a habit of celebrating V's monthly anniversary of his creation.

I don't do anything crazy, but I try to give V some extra attention and do activities he enjoys. He loves watching movies, so I sometimes use it as an excuse to go out to see something in theatres

New on this sub. I don't believe anyone is created. People are reproduced, like all the living realm.

Just so you know on lemmy they're called communities, or comms, not subs. Also, yeah, many plurans are created. Some plurans do have relationships in the headspace, so that could be seen as reproduction, but many are created through things like willowing, trauma, a desire to comfort etc.

Edit: Since you're new here, we wonder if you're aware of what plurality is? If not then have a good starter: https://morethanone.info/.

Feel free to ask any questions!

Oh, OK, "created" does make sense in that way. Thanks for the clarification.

This is a community about plurality, but I encourage you to read up on the topic if you're curious about it! oftheair posted a great resource in celes comment

Thank you! Though we don't use they/them as a plural group. We use cele/celes like it says in our profile 🙂

Edit: Also, please be careful about telling others they may be in the wrong community, they might just be a little confused about things, or worded things in a way they understand what they meant but it confuses others, but they meant to be here.
