No. The bill doesn't say anything about AI. This is shitty journalism.

Obviously, companies shouldn't be allowed to blackmail consumers like this, but they don't need AI to do it, and the bill has nothing to do with AI. The only person talking about AI here is the alleged "journalist" that just threw that part in for funsies.

Lyft and Uber shouldn't charge more if the phone's battery is low. But so many people have portable chargers, so low battery doesn't necessarily mean desperation.

Phone OS sandboxes in general are just awful. Result of a duopoly I guess
