Masked men surround car demanding they get out of the vehicle. Declare themselves as border control.

Occupants ask to see border controls identification. They deny the request and attempt to force their way into the truck.

driver floors it not knowing if they are actually border control. Both parties exchange gunfire as the civilians escape. Civilians call the police reporting the incident.

ICE then will continue to cry saying "we're being attacked! Waaah everyone is mean to us"

We need to start riding around in armed groups to counter these thugs.

I mean, if border patrol agents don’t have to identify them selves, who’s to say this other armored group hiding their identity and refusing to show proof aren’t also border patrol agents?

In all honesty I think the point of a lot of the border patrol methods are like this to encourage certain groups that want to harass minorities to start doing exactly this.

Border Patrol. Who cares what they call themselves, they don't protect anything.

KTLA also called this situation a "standoff" in its reporting, implying that the family had taken some action to threaten officers, which they absolutely did not.

Also, credit to the San Bernardino Sheriff's department for their involvement in this incident. Once called, they followed the law (they did not assist federal officers in an immigration enforcement capacity) & they advocated to federal officers to de-escalate the situation.
