It's also worth pointing out that the politicians voting on this are also exempting themselves from being monitored. Their chats, emails, photos etc.. will remain private and will not be scanned. Literally not holding themselves to the same level of accountability. This could get very dirty.

And those who really have something to hide will just use closed platforms, maybe on darknet.

This chatcontrol is a complete waste of time and resources and won't achieve any goal, except putting all law-abiding citizens under undue surveillance. What about basic human rights?
