It is, but it does have competition

It's literally the most surface level take. Does not even mention what CUDA is or AMD's efforts to run it

https://www.xda-developers.com/nvidia-cuda-amd-zluda/

But it is no longer funded by AMD or Intel

AMD GPUs are still supported by frameworks like PyTorch

https://rocm.docs.amd.com/projects/install-on-linux/en/latest/install/3rd-party/pytorch-install.html

While Nvidia might be the fastest, they are not always the cheapest option, especially if you rent it in the cloud. When I last checked, it was cheaper to rent AMD GPUs

No, this is about AI

What a shit article. Doesn't explain the software situation. While CUDA is the most popular, a lot of frameworks do support AMD chips.

You thought so, but in year 2525 they will still be complaining about TCP congestion mechanisms

This space definitely needs competition

I like Matrix, but I do run into issues, like messages not being decrypted even though I verified my session. The average user is not ready for it. Or rather, it's not ready for the average user

They all take them. Just look at the sport of weightlifting. Everyone sets a world record in their own gym and gets much less in tested competition.

Also several times the minimum wage. The minimum wage jobs are the do nothing jobs like door man.

The fact is, the difference is in concentration. You have millions of workers in Shenzhen all in the same area doing similar jobs. It makes it easy to ask one factory to manufacture a thing and the one next door to assemble it.

Chinese wages are not actually that low. In Beijing minimum wage is ¥26.4 which is $3.66

US federal minimum wage is $7.25

Wait, were you under the impression athletes don't take PEDs now?

[–] iopq@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Nah, I hate snap much more. Can't even install the normal version is Firefox anymore on Ubuntu without hunting online for an installer

Nobody is forcing you to install system applications on NixOS. I use flatpaks on it all the time

I am getting " Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters. "

if you check the archive it's just about accessing a NAS from China

I've been syncing for days and I'm still 100,000 blocks away. I needed to turn on pruning and a page file just to be able to process them, but it takes forever to download and verify these blocks because they are absolutely huge. At this rate it will take months to sync

I didn't have this issue with bitcoin cash, it synced in a few days.

The first review with all of the actual measurements (ANC, frequency response, passthrough, etc.) and audio samples that I've seen

I don't know why, it doesn't link to the article when I click it
