AFAIK, VPNs are illegal in China. Maybe has something to do with that.
AFAIK, reddit is blocked in China, so why would they care?
Why would that have anything to do with reddit? They're hosted in the US and banned in China.
Maybe they're looking to undo that second part to tap that sweet sweet market.
Seems like long odds, but doesn't Tencent own a good chunk of their stock?

Old Reddit and some exits work.
If you log in it lets you read with a vpn
But then they can track me. The whole point of using a VPN and these obfuscation browser plugins is to prevent being tracked.
