I tried, but I could not resist the urge to point out that that's not what POV means, unless you mean the user who made the mistake is one of the gunmen.

Is it not the point of view of the users? I mean as in John Wick in the centre making the mistake.

No, because "point of view" means seeing through their eyes, not looking at their face.

The image we're seeing is not from John Wick's point of view though. If it was, he would not appear in the picture.

I mean in the vacuum of the meme. You can also read the alt text for more context.

No we get your intention don't worry, it's just that we are pedantic and wanted to exactly dowhat the meme portrays, come guns blazing from a small mistake.

An actual POV would be an image of several people holding guns pointed at the "camera" aka the viewer aka John wick. That would be the point of view of John wick.

Aren't you amused by us leading by example to show that you are right?

That’s true! The meme has been reenacted.

It's a well known method in social media now

If you want an honest answer from someone, you don't ask them directly, because they won't respond.

Instead you confidently give the wrong answer ..... then wait for everyone to honestly correct you immediately.

I dread seeing a ping, before back on reddit and now here, and every where that has a ping when replied, because of this phenomenon.

I didn't mean to sound confidently wrong. mostly. That's why I only comment on memey stuff or silly things. but even in silly things someone out there just have to make it as their being and take personal offense.

Joke’s on them. I use a fork of that obscure client/tool.

[–] Sunshine@piefed.ca 1 points 1 month ago

When is it a good time to abandon a client/tool after a certain length of no commits?

Oh for crying out loud, it’s

“really :-P”.

Note the space between the word “really”, and the emoticon!

UGH I SWEAR THIS PLATFORM

We dont want to scare off people using lesser known software.

Even well-known clients can get weird, e.g. you can interact with lemmy posts through mastodon, but if you're active in the comments, misunderstandings seem practically guaranteed.
