I wonder... which kind of 'think tanks' are we talking about. Is it a enclosed isolated place where people can focus on their thinking undisturbed, or is it an armoured vehicle of information warfare?

They're all the people who write all the country's news headlines basically. And that's what they take money to do.

Yes, of course they should be disclosed. Could be domestic or foreign bad actors or terrorist organisations for all we know.

But there will always be ways around it, eg put it few a few trusts or shell companies so that it's not obvious who is really donating it.
