Kimmel aside, the amount of ads to content in this 1-hour block is why no one wants to watch this format anymore.

Only Baby Boomers watch local news. They vote. You can watch the news and call the advertisers, or you could just FUCKING VOTE! and when they throw out all the votes, because fascism - fire them.

Didn't everyone just watch the opening monologue on YouTube and nothing else?

GOAT

Also, Fred Meyer is owned by Kroger if you're not local.

In California, it’s called Ralph’s.

Dillon's is Kroger, as is King Soopers.

I wouldn't be surprised if every single one of those sponsors helped pay for Trumps inauguration or the owners are in some way MAGA.

Fuck with the money. It's the only thing business is completely dependent on.

Thats the same tactic that Gamergate used (to admittedly potent effect) and is the same one the various right wing groups still use, most recently against Steam and GoG

Shouldn't Amazon be labeled (local)?

Aren't a lot of these companies just getting ads wherever they can? And have had these contracts since before the Kimmel thing?

In retrospect, I probably could have given folks some guidance on the proper messaging for these kinds of businesses. No one is going to give a shit about some random internet person's partisan screed about where you choose to advertise. Be polite.
