From what I can see around me, my friends' dogs have very nice lives

If you constantly give your dogs snacks, the dog will be unhappy constantly too. If you give your dog just two meals each day (breakfast and dinner, and nothing more), your dog will be happier.

Does this apply to humans too? If I eat fewer meals and cut out snacks, will I be happier?

Are there no resources for help near you, like food banks? SNAP or a similar food assistance program?

lol I make them their own food. Essentially a shepherd's pie of ground turkey, brown rice and vegetables. Sometimes, if they are good, a gravy. I buy it all in bulk, and sometimes it's all the food I have left toward the end of the month and will make some for myself. Though mine is seasoned.
