Rules:
- Only links to Wikipedia permitted
- Please stick to the format "Article Title (other descriptive text/editorialization)"
- Tick the NSFW box for submissions with inappropriate thumbnails
- On Casual Tuesdays, we allow submissions from wikis other than Wikipedia.
Recommended:
- If possible, when submitting please delete the "m." from "en.m.wikipedia.org". This will ensure people clicking from desktop will get the full Wikipedia website.
- Use the search box to see if someone has previously submitted an article. Some apps will also notify you if you are resubmitting an article previously shared on Lemmy.
I found the switch much simpler than Qwerty-to-Dvorak thanks to the fact that keys in the bottom left are in the same positions as they are in Qwerty. That means the most common keyboard shortcuts (like undo/copy/paste) are unchanged, which had been my biggest issue while trying Dvorak.
I did the same with the layout I use. I think ZXCV is going to be with us for a long time

Does it have â à è ê é û ô œ (etc) ? I find AZERTY increasingly uncomfortable and I'd like to try something else, but it has to have accentuated letters readily available (like on the Kaz layout which I am currently using)
No. Furthermore, the letter placement is also optimized for typing English. A couple French layouts that I see are BÉPO and Dvorak-fr, you may want to look into one of those.
