Welcome to /c/SoftwareGore!

This is a community where you can poke fun at nasty software. This community is your go-to destination to look at the most cringe-worthy and facepalm-inducing moments of software gone wrong. Whether it's a user interface that defies all logic, a crash that leaves you in disbelief, silly bugs or glitches that make you go crazy, or an error message that feels like it was written by an unpaid intern, this is the place to see them all!

Remember to read the rules before you make a post or comment!

How do I disable it permanently (both AI and the pain preferably)?

Even if you disable seeing it, Google still uses your search query as AI training and processes your results that way. If you don't want to use AI you need to stop using Google, and all Google services.

The "AI" by not using google, and the pain by going to a doctor.

startpage works very well and you can turn off their "quick answers", ads and anything else you dont want. they use google bing and yahoo results i think but i have consistently gotten better results than google just because of the lack of promotions and ai trash.

Use a trackball instead of a mouse. I had wrist pain too until I started using a trackball.

I like the Logitech MX Ergo.

Nah, the left hand. Just randomly woke up with it, and now my wrist hurts when bending forward :(

As for my preffered pointing device, that would be a TrackPoint. I even disabled the touchpad.

You probably just slept on it funny. Alternate ice and heat on it a few times a day and you should be fine.

Welp, it wasn't this morning... but like 2 weeks now...

Ah, even then, minor wrist injuries can take a hot minute to resolve. I once sprained my wrist wiping water off me after a shower and it hurt for a month.

The human body is poorly designed.

You might be the first person I've met who prefers a trackpoint. Good for you!

I'd describe it as extension of your finger once you get used to it.

We've had ThinkPads in high school, and since then I wanted to use no other pointing device, aside from touchscreen if you consider that to be one.

But I don't play games.

See a doctor if you can afford it. I had bad carpal tunnel syndrome and went through therapy. I thought it returned but I actually had a bulging disc in my neck. Different PT and a few changes have helped greatly
