Man, I wish... my M2 MacBook Air is better in virtually every way than any single computer where I work. I don't work in IT or tech in general, but the fact that I'm nobody special and my computer blows past all of theirs... up to and including the computer assigned to the head honcho... In fact, some of our top brass use laptops which are a few generations old, the workstations they're rolling out everywhere are more powerful. They all run Windows 11 though, that's the new requirement, nothing that can't run Windows 11 (without an exploit, they won't do that) cannot be used after, I guess next month. I'm not IT, I don't recall when the deadline is.
There is not one single computer in the entire building I work in that I would trade either of my Macs for. And I think the workstations they're rolling out are comparable. 13th generation i3, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD. Okay, my MBA's SSD is 1TB, but that's not a performance metric. My MBA can play Cyberpunk on bare metal. I'm not sure those workstations can. But I think the benchmarks might be comparable. The workstations might even win as x86-64 systems can muster more power than ARM64 ones. But I'd still take my Macs over any of them. I'd expect them to make decent servers (if Linux could run on them, I wouldn't use a Windows box at home) and that's about it.
