From what I can gather the meme community was invested in some sort of "try not to poop" competition. Now they are posting beans to try and tempt eatchother into pooping.

Whatever promotes activity is good I suppose.

Nah, yesterday there was a post in /c/shitpost that was titled "I heard lemmy will upvote anything. It's literally a can of fucking beans. " (with a pic of beans attached)

And it exploded with a billion upvotes. Now we are all apparently obsessed with beans.
