Now, Senator Booker also said 'We should have bipartisan agreements'. I think that's a great idea, we should have bipartisan agreement. How about we all come together and say 'let's stop murders'? How about we all come together and say 'let's stop rape'? How about we all come together and say 'let's stop attacking pedophiles'?
Context doesn't make it any better. He literally thinks attacking pedophiles is akin to rape and murder lol (not actually lol, quite sad)
I saw someone say that he clearly meant to say "stop protecting pedophiles", but I don't know if they were saying it sarcastically or not.
It'd be pretty funny if that's what he meant, though. "And we gotta stop protecting the pedophiles! C'mon, you've been doing it, I've been doing it, let's just all agree to knock it off."
Having just read the transcript, my guess is he meant to say lets stop 'attacking pedophiles'. I havent heard the audio so i dont know if his actual speech and intonation reflect that, and it physically pains me to give him the benefit of the doubt, but here I am.
Tell me if youve heard it and my theory is definitely false.
If you mean to say you think he was saying it with implied quotations, no, he wasn't. Neither his voice nor body language show that.
