"Truth is treason in an empire of lies"

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (1 children)

This is basically a list of people he wants his white nationalist terrorist groups to target. Kinda like when Sarah palin put gabby Gifford in the crosshairs list right before she got shot

[–] Houseman@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

I knew all that came together crap the right was pushing would go away and they'd end up cheering the lefts oppression not realizing it's theirs as well.

Democrats have spent years vilifying ICE as “fascists,” “the Gestapo,” and “slave patrols,” inciting a 1,000% surge in assaults on agents and a wave of Radical Left terror. Their words aren’t just reckless — they’re a battle cry for violence.

You can create a list twice as long as this of Trump’s comments vilifying and inciting violence against democrats.

Edit: I find it funny that they linked the “1,000%” number to a story that doesn’t include any evidence for the number.

I want to know where that figure comes from. 1,000% is probably small when you consider how much ice has expanded in size and activity.

[–] Ageroth@reddthat.com 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Percentage is probably one of the easiest ways to calculate a difference but presenting a percentage change can be mildly misleading if you don't know what the original numbers are.

An increase of 100% is really a 2x increase, 1000% increase is an 11x increase.
If there used to be 1 ICE raid a month and now there are 11, that's a 1000% increase. Given the change in directive and ramp up in action I'd be somewhat surprised if it was only 1000%

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Yeah, that’s was what I was getting at, just worded much better. I feel like ice activity has increased way more than 1000% since Trump took office.

Yes Trump, people upset that a masked and poorly trained federal shadow force can kick in your door zip tie your children without a warrant disappear you forever without accountability or a right to a trial in the middle of the night is clearly an unreasonable concern

Assault with a deadly camera! Proud Boys clearly identify themselves as cops, no badges is just protection against doxxing

This guy is making history. Because we've never before seen, a president really act like an intolerable, immature, fuckwit who treats all of this like it's high school again.

Normally, Presidents of the past just get up on podiums and get into professional interviews to talk of their opponents or so.

This guy just posts a generic list while crying about the truth.

[–] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 20 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Eh....Nixon was pretty petty. There is a direct line from Nixon to Trump.

And remember we got here because the conservatives of Nixon wanted to find a way to control what was truth.

[–] Quetzalcutlass@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Roger Ailes, too. He was the one who revamped conservative news into propaganda mills in direct response to Nixon's resignation.

[–] wewbull@feddit.uk 4 points 1 day ago

Ermmm. McCarthy?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 35 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Someone is going to kill one of these people and get away with it

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 27 points 1 day ago

Of course. That's the point.

"Will no one rid me of these turbulent enemies?"

[–] arin@lemmy.world 8 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago)

Cringe use of official government Whitehouse website. I prefer going through Idiocracy 2006 100 times istead of what we have in 2025

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 24 points 1 day ago

It's true, they are his enemies, indeed truth IS his enemy. Trumps enemies are myriad, and they are the best people.

FUCKING EVERYTHING THEY WRITE IS SPIT OUT OF A GODDAMN LLM

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's because they're morons.

[–] agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

My smoldering ember of hope is kept warm by the fact that these morons are probably going to totally fumble their fascist takeover because running a modern country is pretty complicated actually and they keep firing the people who know how to do things.

[–] MrSmiley@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Fascism is a tool his Dark Enlightenment financial backers adopted, Trump is just a vehicle for dismantling democracy and Balkanizing America so their mythical utopia can rise like a phoenix from the ashes of destruction. Trump will be scapegoated and discarded once he has served his purpose.

[–] end_stage_ligma@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Wikipedia should use this as a perfect example of DARVO.

Had to look that up but absolutely

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

If you skipped the intro to the list it would just look like a bunch of people making true statements.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 7 points 1 day ago

I think nixon at least kept his private. Its funny as there was some debate under trump1 on who was worse nixon, bush jr, or trump. At least for me this is no longer an outstanding question.

[–] Yerbouti@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 day ago

Look where continuously voting for right wing parties brought us... Obviously, only voting for far-right parties can get us out of this.

An enemies list? Who does he think he is, Sheldon Cooper?
