Step one: eat vegan junk food and drink beer every day.
Step two: gain weight.
Step three: profit!? (Actually, feel like shit (at least feel better than carnies, both physically and mentally) and die early because of your lifestyle)

Most pretzels and potato chips are vegan!

Hummus is vegan!

Fries and ketchup are vegan!

Popcorn is vegan!

Non-garbage chocolate is vegan!

You gain weight if your caloric difference between what you take in and what you use is positive.

But how is this specific to veganism?

I don't think they know what that means

Your body doesnt take everything from everything that goes in. It doesn't take it all efficiently, and even when it does, what it does with that is not always the same in every body on every day.

I have a biophysics book you should read. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/133547

But even the linked article from OP says "just eat caloric denser food".

Also, nutritional calories are somewhat designed to messure actually what your body is taking in.
