Nothing on its own accomplishes anything, but stacked up, they can. It's like one day of clean living won't turn your life around, but in the long run, you can make big change. Changing someone's mind is the same way.
I guess we found out if that was a shared sentiment among other military "leaders". Now we've murdered a bunch of Venezuelans and US citizens trying to protect the vulnerable. Guess the national guard wanted in on some action more than they wanted to remember their oath. This has gotta stop escalating, or things are really going to spiral. 😓

Doing fucked up things to random foreigners is part of being in the US military, it's part of what makes people bitter and disillusioned about it sometimes. Going to war against Portland is a whole different thing.

A lot of them have been refusing to get involved in any capacity, that's why it has been so difficult for Trump to find some where he can even get them to go to some random city and pick up trash. Pretending that they are villains in this before any of them actually do anything wrong is not really going to lead anywhere good, either.
ICE has killed a protestor who was trying to protext their community because the police are too cowardly to do it. ICE has killed multiple people and it showa no sign of slowing down.
The natiional guard showed up in dc. The military "leaders" cowing to this fascist are at fault, they sell their honor. The troops that don't refuse to follow illegal orders or fail to oust ICE as terrorists are failing in their duties.
When this fascist terrorist regime is rounded up and placed in jail, only then will we begin to repair the damage done to our society by the apathetic and flaccid membera of congress, the house, the GOP, the oligarchs, the military, the local and federal courts, and the corporate players responsible for treason and the dismantling of the constitution, etc. etc.
Noone has been honorable or trustworthy out of this den of snakes they try to whitewash as an "adminiatration" or political party.
It should never have gotten this far.
