Good question! I like the poltergeist... if I'd changed the title slightly, I'd go with the mayor from Jaws or a similar character "everything's fine folks!"

I think the Necróme from Wakfu could easily fit into middle left. A planet full of immortal beings constantly hungering for wakfu ( the life energy of their universe ) and everything is destroyed beyond repair, with a singular ruler calling the shots. Almost sounds like what would happen if a ecological crisis met a zombie apocalypse ( depending on the zombie rules ), minus the singular ruler part.
Never seen it, sounds interesting!
