hi, newbie here, so i'm looking for a dummies guide in order to turn my url like

pihole.lan/admin/

into just

pihole.lan

and also, for things with specific ports, is there a way to include the port in the dns? ( i'm using pihole's dns for the things i'm running on proxmox. I tried setting up nginx proxy manager but i'm out of my depth

with an https dns record you could specify a port number in dns.

seems that bare pi.hole may redirect to the admin page if you’re already using the pi-hole to resolve dns.
