Hello,

I am starting an online business and need to buy a website domain and custom email domain.

So far, I've been looking into Namecheap, Cloudfare, and Porkbun.

I see mixed reviews for Namecheap. Cloudfare seems good to buy the website domain but I can't find where I would get the custom email domain (hello@businessname.com). Is it included? Porkbun also looks great, but $24/year for one email domain seems a little steep when compared to the others. I would also eventually want to use more than one email for the domain (hello@businessname.com, support@businessname.com)

I also want to mention I will eventually be linking my website domain to Shopify and would like to use gmail for my email to both receive and send, if that is possible.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, I think you've made it to the wrong sub (since you're not looking to self host at all). non the less, here are some pointers. a domain is what you need. it does not matter what you will use it for and how many email addresses you tie to it. get your domain name from a provider with a good dns management tool (personally use cloudflare, but did not buy the domains from cloudflare). domain forwarding to shopify is easy to do. setting up mail with gmail as well. I forgot if they charge though. you can create as many emailaddresses youwant as long as you have ownership of the domain.

Depending on the top level domain designation (.com, .cz, .bet, ...) 24 dollars a year can be cheap or expensive. look around.
