Both the developers of this shit and the users are some sick pieces of shit. This isn't a completely new issue however, revenge porn and nude celebrity leaks have been happening for a while and were largely ignored an issue. As well as deepfake porn of celebrities, people don't care cause it's celebrities, websites have entire categories dedicated to this shit.

Glad I don't post images of myself anywhere online, not that I would necessarily be a target of this specifically, cause I'm a man. But it seems that people will have to realize that they need to maintain privacy and anonymity online again. Like I remember in the 2000s the first advice you would hear is don't share any real info online, not even your first name, now it's acceptable to have your whole life just out there.

Social media is what started this shit. Myspace got it rolling for people who have zero self awareness to jump online and mouth vomit their lives and info everywhere. Then Facebook took up the mantle and it's gotten even worse, it's what happens when you give people tech they don't understand.
