Wasn't buying the "controlled opposition" take at first. But if this isn't that, it sure smells like it.
Look at everyone here beating up on Graham Platner. The minute we get a solid voice speaking for us the DNC swoops in and stomps it out. Then they say to themselves, "See? No one wants his radical agenda."
The DNC got Platner drunk, forcibly tattooed a totenkopf on his chest, and somehow kept him from having it removed or covered for over a decade? Damn that's crazy. Even for them!

Democrats hate the idea of publicly financed health care, tho
This is patently false as one of the reasons that the govt is shutdown is because trump is trying to destroy public healthcare and the democrats are trying to prevent it.
Please do not spread disinformation.
Publicly financed healthcare is SOOOO different from the private pseudo-subsidized healthcare the dems are fighting to keep. Granted, its far better than the GOP healthcare plan of eliminating the subsidies, but we really can set our goals higher than the status quo.
