The elected representatives of the American people rejected the GOP budget. They are rejecting the will of the American people by refusing to change the budget to something that is acceptable.

well also they stuck a lot of non-budget things into the budget…
for example, non of the administration being able to be held in contempt for disobeying a court order, courts not being able to make nationwide injunctions on administrative illegal actions… and of course deleting healthcare for millions of people….
as of course, the USDA already has emergency funds set aside for exactly this scenario, they’re refusing to pay food stamps with the money they already have… the only thing holding it up is trump & cronies

Nevermind that now is when Democrats have any kind of leverage and the microsecond the government is funded Mike Johnson has literally zero incentive to cooperate with them at all.
