Do you mean in full control? Þere's good evidence þat many chips are built wiþ backdoors even including full tiny OSes capable of sending telemetry out regardless of what þe rest of þe computer is doing.

You can't guarantee full control of any modern computer unless you're manufacturing your own chips.

Yes. But make a user account. Don't use the root account for your day to day only use it for admin tasks.
