I love iced coffee.

Instant decaf dissolves just as well in cold water as it does hot water.

Don't give your kids velcro shoes after about age three. Deal with teaching them to tie them for a few months. No, it's not convenient, but you're doing it for them, not you.

This is for an overcoat, something with thick layers of fabric. You can skip the raising and wrapping the thread around underneath for a shirt.

Now he speaks up? This can only mean this deal somehow harms his personal interests.

Fuck this asshole.

If AI and robots will take over so many jobs, why is a declining birthrate a bad thing, in the long term?

Dr David Vickers, from the University of Calgary in Canada, said the “research exaggerates the role of HSV-1, failing to appreciate its absence in 99.56% of Alzheimer’s disease cases”.

He added: “The observed 17% hazard reduction with anti-herpetic drugs translates to a mere nine-month delay in Alzheimer’s disease onset.”

  1. The sorting method does not have a description in the help page (the little question mark link)

  2. Sorting posts by Controversial doesn't show them by date, so I need to scroll through, looking at the date to find anything recent.

I like sorting by Controversial for entertainment purposes, and to make sure the comment I intend to make, which I expect to be controversial, hasn't already been made--which means I should just upvote the existing comment.

It's not like I make a ton of controversial comments, but sometimes my thoughts do run counter to the hivemind, and I want to say so.
