This community is to find that game you can't remember. Like it's on the tip of your tongue.

This community is mainly for finding a specific game title. If you are looking for game suggestions, !videogamesuggestions@lemmy.zip is the place to be.

If you want to post, use this syntax: [Platform][Estimated Year] A short description of the game.
Example:
[NES][1980]A man jumping on mushrooms

You can add a longer description in the Body. Preferably according to the template in the rules.

This syntax and our template further down makes it easier to find your game, so please use it.

If your game is found, change the title by adding [Solved] in front of the title, and the game name. For example:
[Solved][NES][1980s] Super Mario Bros.
If you're not sure about any of the details you can add [Unknown] instead.

Rules:

  1. One game per post
  2. Mark your post if it's solved according to the above syntax
  3. Try using this template when posting:

Platform(s):

Genre:

Estimated year of release:

Graphics/art style:

I'm looking for a game where you run a diner and you serve food to customers. The customers evaluate your peformances from Good, Average and Awful. The game is in the first person view where you are viewing the customers.

One of the songs that plays during the game is Hit the Road Jack. The rest of the music are songs from the 50s and 60s.

I remember running the game during the Windows XP days.

Edit: I believe the game was also freeware.

I know a bunch of restaurant management games from that period, but first person simulation type game weren't all that big in the early 2000s.

Curious what this is.

By first person, I meant you see your customers in front of you over the counter.

Could it be The Restaurant Game?

This is the closest thing I found that matches a “first person perspective” for a restaurant manager, otherwise popular games like Diner Dash and Restaurant Empire would fit the bill.

Could it have been a Diner Dash game? https://oldgamesdownload.com/diner-dash/
