Firefox Reader Mode works well for me on that Sun article about Gothenburg -- but I do block a lot of nonsense on the Internet.
Perhaps the ads and tracking code mess with Reader Mode on an unfiltered page?
Do you have a Google Pixel, if so install GrapheneOS, it comes with its own browser, Vanadium, that has an excellent Viewer that strips out the garbage.
How do you use it? I was trying to use it the other day but couldn't find the option
In Vanadium got to Settings, Privacy and Security, Accessibility, then turn on the Viewer notification.
