  1. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
  2. Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
  3. Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
  4. Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world

Watched Good Boy with him and he didn't bark or growl a single time, he was such a good boy.

Movie was pretty soso, though.

They're both napping here in the bathroom.

After having a few fish show up dead after being new to my tank I've been treating the whole thing with a combo bacteria and fungal medicine. No dead fish in two days and they all still seem to be eating, even the snails and shrimps look fine! One more treatment to go!

A pop-up playhouse was found for pretty cheap, it's just been a case of making room to put it up. One of the cats has decided he didn't want to wait, and has figured out how to move it while inside of it. It's still folded up, but he rolls it around and pops out to play-smack at his siblings. And me. I've been woken up multiple times now by him trying to wake me up to play, namely by smacking my butt.

I want to be mad, but he's so precious when he does it. Just having the time of his life in his mobile battle castle, I'm going to feel bad when I do actually get it placed properly.

Triscuit is busy being a little shit like always. She’s a cute cat, but she loves getting into things she shouldn’t be. But then she’ll curl up in my lap and all sins are forgiven.

We just said goodbye to our almost 14 year old Tamaskan Dog yesterday. His name was Dokken, and he was our foundation. We are beyond devastated, but we have some small solace that we prevented him from a lot of suffering, and we got to spend his last moments with him telling him how much he meant to us, how much joy he brought not to just us but dozens, if not hundreds, of people he's met over the years.

It also helps that we brought home a puppy a few years ago, who Dokken helped us raise and socialize. And that puppy was able to visit Dokken in the hospital one last time, and he was able to be with us in the room after Dokken had passed, so he had an opportunity for closure about why he'll never see his big brother again.

Please hug or pet or otherwise give your dogs a little extra love for him. Cherish every second you have with them.

I tried to walk him, he decided to try to attack a car, pulled so hard I dropped the leash, I have a scrap on my elbow, knee and 3 fingers, luckily the car stopped fast and he just walked back with his leash...hes lucky to be alive

Hi there Blaze! I hope all your non-human extended family are doing well. Im a cat hoarder, and the kids have two hermit crabs. All my cats except for one are old seniors so they have some minor health stuff. I could go into all the little details but I think it suffices to say that they're all still here with me, I love them all (even the stupid crabs) im very grateful for that.
