Every outside observer has said this is illegal. Many calling it a war crime. I'm not sure about that, just because I thought you had to be at war to commit a war crime. Either way, violation of international law, murder, and absolutely disgusting. Yet, I'm still waiting for this fucking administration to face any consequences.
Gestapo USA
This community is for tracking the victims of ICE and other fascist organizations disappearing people into concentration camps.
The last time the US Congress declared war was December 8, 1941.
These killings are just warm-ups, to gauge reactions before more attacks on South American nations.
My theory is that they're ginning up a military action so that they can fuck with the midterms.
Killing people you are not at war with IS a war crime. Killing innocent civilians operating water taxis IS a war crime. Killing unarmed non-combatants IS a war crime.
You got a source for that? All I've found in my not-too-exhaustive search is:
The Statute of the International Criminal Court defines war crimes as, inter alia, “serious violations of the laws and customs applicable in international armed conflict” and “serious violations of the laws and customs applicable in an armed conflict not of an international character”. -source
I'm not saying what's happening isn't awful, just asking a pedantic question about definitions. Seems like these one-sided, unwarranted, lawless murders, while a violation of international law, do not fall under the definition. By your definition, any murder would be a war crime, which I'm sure isn't right.
international armed conflict
Well, I think the US has definitely caused an "international armed conflict" - therefore, laws and customs apply, I'd say.
Americans do not respect weakness.
