Mozilla is a floundering fish that instead of focusing on coordinated movements to get to one place, it spazzes out, wildly fighting for it's life. My prediction (and hope) is that Ladybird and browsers built on top of Servo will supplant Firefox to take away Mozilla's revenue and kill the entire org.

I mean, Ladybird is run by fascists, and thus, fuck it. Look recent controversies and keep the list up to date: Fuck Brave, fuck Omarchy, fuck Ladybird and with deep pain in saying this, fuck FUTO too!

Oh no, we wouldn't want to have an open source browser capable of using AI tools, that should be entirely left to the closed source browsers. Those are much more "trustworthy."

In my particular case I want many of those tools. They're not being forced on me. Should I have to turn to closed-source browsers in order to get them?

No, you should use those open-source AI tools that offer integration with your open-source web browser (e.g. extensions). Like adblocking, nto forced onto you but there is a plethora of ways to integrate it into your browser.

Opensource
